Maa Gayatri Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya The college was started in 2003 and is affiliated with Mataji College Jalesar, Etah Uttar Pradesh, a women's college. The institute is located over a small area of 1 acres and is in the process of imparting quality education to the female students. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college offers two undergraduate programmes: BA, B.Ed., etc. The institute has a total student strength of 607 and a faculty of 31 so that the institute has a good student-faculty ratio, which gives personal attention to each of the students.

The college has some important infrastructural facilities to improve learning and human capability among learners. The IT infrastructure comprises a computer laboratory with computers and other technologies that meet the current advanced education industry system. This is a centre of information that provides students with the most up-to-date collection of reference books, magazines, and periodicals that are replaced according to the latest academic needs. In an effort to round off student development, the institute provides a communication lab for students to improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Sports centres that suit the needs of individuals and groups in the area as far as exercise and recreation are concerned. It also enhances students health with a well-equipped health centre with first-aid features within the college compound. 

Maa Gayatri Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya offers two full-time undergraduate courses: A three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a two-year Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) programme are offered at the Mzumbe University. Presently, the programme offers an approved intake capacity of two hundred; this is an indication of the institute’s call to empower teachers. 

They deal with the admission process, in which Maa Gayatri Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya has a different procedure for admission to different courses. For the B.Ed. programme, admission can be based on merit, or marks obtained in the qualifying examination or entrance examination.
