Being an affiliated college, Maa Gayatri Ram Prasad Pandey Smarak Mahavidyalaya is a college situated in Gonda and aims at imparting education to its students. This institution has fixed its reputation as one of the best educational centre in the region. It is affiliated to well recognised universities and institutions like the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) as well as the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The Bachelor degrees that available for students at undergraduate level are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). For postgraduate students, it offers the Master of Arts (MA) in various subjects like Economics, Home Science, Hindi, Geography, English, Sanskrit, Ancient History and Archaeology.

However, the admissions criteria are a little different from one course to another in Maa Gayatri Ram Prasad Pandey Smarak Mahavidyalaya. Thus, for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programme, admission is offered on the basis of merit of the applicant’s marks in the qualifying examination. Selection to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme is more comprehensive than the other programmes. The admission for B.Ed are regular intake and are through marks secured in the qualifying examination and Common Entrance Test as prescribed by the state government and concerned university.
