Affiliated Maa Gayatri Ram Prasad Pandey Smarak Mahavidyalaya is a college situated in Gonda and aims at imparting education to its students. Though the year of establishment is missing but this institution has fixed its reputation as one of the best educational center in the region. It is affiliated to well recognized universities and institutions like the Indian Council for Agricultural Research [ICAR] as well as the National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE]. Spread across five degree programs, it has a total of 661 students and a faculty team of 7 members and provides 12 courses in distinct specializations. 

We take pride in presenting our college with diverse hall amenities in a bid to improve the learning experience of the student. It functions as an information centre where students can rely on all the literature needed for their academic needs. College also provides well equipped departmental laboratories for the practical knowledge of the students of their relevant fields. Cognisant of the fact that technology has become a fundamental aspect of teaching and learning in the contemporary world, the facility boasts of a good and efficient Information Communication Technology facility to enable the students to connect to the information facility and use teaching aids that are technologically based. Also, the college offers sporting amenities and exercise to the students to keep fit as well as practice team work in sporting disciplines in order to complement its academic clientle. 

Maa Gayatri Ram Prasad Pandey Smarak Mahavidyalaya has a wide course combination to meet the various needs for students pursuing their academics. The institution offers 12 full courses which are tenable full time and these courses include undergraduate and post graduate courses. The Bachelor degrees that available for students at undergraduate level are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc Agriculture) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). For postgraduate students, it offers the Master of Arts (MA) in various subjects like, Economics, Home Science, Hindi, Geography, English, Sanskrit, Ancient History and Archaeology. The total number of students enrolled in all courses is 661; this figure is deliberate in order to keep the college learning environment specific.

However, the admissions criteria are a little different from one course to another in Maa Gayatri Ram Prasad Pandey Smarak Mahavidyalaya. Thus, for the Bachelor of Arts (BA) program admission is offered on the basis of merit of the applicant’s marks in the qualifying examination. Selection to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program is more comprehensive than the above programs. The admission for B.Ed are regular intake and are through marks secured in the qualifying examination and/ or Common Entrance Test as prescribed by the state government and concerned university. In other courses, although steps for admissions are not explained in details, one can deduce that they also conduct merit-based admissions.
