Maa Shakuntala Mahila Mahavidyalaya is one of the women’s college situated in Mau, Uttar Pradesh is committed to offering higher education to the female students. This is relatively young university established in 2014 and has esteemed itself as a major learning institution within the region. The college is confined to a span of 2.5 acres of land and the college offers only a few specific programmes with total student admission capacity of five hundred and ninety-four. With 7 dedicated educators as faculty, the college has health, diversified student-teacher ratio, which means students get adequate attention as well as guide from the staff.

This is in a view to fulfilling the college’s vision in the enhancement of skilled teachers in the region.

The admission criteria may differ from course to course in case of Maa Shakuntala Mahila Mahavidyalaya. For D.El.Ed programme admission to the programme is merit based which includes marks in the qualifying examination and entrance test. The college also adheres to any other means of selection as may be determined by the Uttar Pradesh government.
