The Maa Vaishno Devi Law College came into existence in May 2012 and follows the governance of Chatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Its location is Lucknow in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The law institute rests in the Institutional Area of Tiwari Ganj Juggour, Chinhat, around Indira Canal, covering a compact campus area of 0.832 acres. Bar Council of India approved, the college offers two specialized law programs with a total student enrolment of 350. At present, under the guidance of 10 committed faculty members on its teaching staff, an ideal atmosphere of good student-teacher ratio is maintained to provide the students with dedicated attention and quality education in the field of law. 

The college is laced with a number of facilities designed in a way to explore learning and effect the all-round developments of students. The library is well stocked with the latest law books and national and international law journals, and well managed by professionally qualified librarians in assisting students in their pursuit of studies. The moot court, in fact, is the first place a student will learn advocacy at the college, since he starts practicing the same at a simulated courtroom. A gym and sports facility on the campus is provided for the physical well-being of students. The college also assure student health by hosting a medical center replete with first-aid facilities. The college meets all academic needs by providing modern IT infrastructure in the form of relevant laboratories. Other facilities include a cafeteria, an auditorium to conduct all the events and seminars, and transport facilities for the ease of students and staff. 

The Maa Vaishno Devi Law College offers two full-time law courses: one is the three-year LLB, and the other is the five-year LLB integrated BA LLB (Hons). Both of these courses have 120 approved seats each year for its candidates, which as a result means a total of 240 seats for the college to offer its law-aspiring candidates in the field of law. The programs have been so designed to give an in-depth legal education which combines in itself the most advanced theoretical studies along with the practical skills that are important for going on to have a successful career in the legal profession.
