Maa Vindhyavashini College of Education, Hazaribagh was set up in 2009 as a school of teachers and comes under Kat Baum and Mahila College Hazaribagh. This is a co-ed college situated in Karamtand Suryapura, which is in the Hazaribagh district in the state of Jharkhand and the college offer programmes in Education. It is NAAC accredited and NCTE approved which means that standards set for the institute have been recognised and meet the benchmarked quality level of education. As an affiliated college, it provides three full-time courses: B.ED., M.ED., D.EL.ED admissions and the sum total enrolment of 300 in all the courses offered. Maa Vindhyavashini College of Education has different facilities that aim at improving the learning facilities of the college students. The library is equipped with all modern facilities and isloaded with a large number of educational CDs including Encyclopedia Britannica, National Geographic Journals etc The institute has subscriptions to international jounals and periodicals and is well equipped with proper reading section . The campus is equipped with hostels for boys and girls; out-station students can avail these comfortable hostel facilities. In view of the health of the college’s community, the college has a health centre with first aid equipment and a gym. The information technology facilities enable contemporary teaching practices, and laboratories address practical-lesson requirements. Other features are the cafeteria, the auditorium, the playground and parking space combine to provide for a proper learning environment.
Maa Vindhyavashini College of Education currently has a total of three courses and all of them are full time courses. It offers B.Ed course for which 100 students can be admitted, M.Ed and D.El.Ed courses that respectively can accommodate 50 students each. This gives the total student admission to 200 for all the courses offered in the institution. The college occupies itself with the delivery of education in the area of teacher training and assists the learners to achieve their goals in the education sector. Concerning the production of educated human beings, although the absolute could not be quantified, due to the related overall enrolment policy, the college is producing a constant number of qualified educators every year.
