YES! You have chance of getting governement colleges. But getting scholorship is not Easy. Because after clearing IMU CET you will be sent to a college as per your rank and counseling. If you had rank is good enough you may get MTI. From there you will get sponsored by Shipping corporation of india. But on the other hand if you get a college where no companies comes then getting sponsoreship on your own is almost impossible.

Hello,
The university will release the cut off rank for all courses offered in various institutions. It have been released in the last week of May 2019. Candidates can check the cut off ranks through online mode from the university website.
The university will provide the cut off ranks which candidates can check as per the course opted by them. Candidates can view the opening and closing ranks which are required to score for admission in the applied course.
But giving you an overview you don't have the eligible rank to get the cutoff. As we look over the previous year cutoff you rank is so less to opt for any course. Last year the cutoff for B. TECH Marine was 177 B. Tech naval architecture was 161. This cutoff was based on the imucet rank. So, looking this scenario of your rank you would not be eligible to opt any course.
I hope this would help you. For further queries write me down in the comment box.
Hey , It seems a little difficult or you can say negligible chances to get the top 5 IMUs . But there is also some chances to get some govt colleges . I mentioned these govt college below :-
• Euro tech maritime academy , Cochin.
• Mangalore Marine college , Mangalore.
These two colleges are for marine engineering. For B.tech in naval architecture and ocean engineering there is no chance to get govt colleges according to your rank.
Hope it helps you.
