Hello there,

Yes, you can pursue a regular D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course with IGNOU after completing +3 (which typically refers to a 3-year undergraduate degree).

Here’s a breakdown of the process:

  1. D.El.Ed with IGNOU: IGNOU offers a distance learning D.El.Ed program for students who have completed their 10+2 or higher education (including a 3-year degree). This program typically focuses on elementary education and teacher training.

  2. Eligibility: For the D.El.Ed program, you need to have at least a 12th-grade qualification (or a 3-year undergraduate degree in your case). It's important to check the specific eligibility criteria on the IGNOU website for any updates.

  3. After D.El.Ed - B.Ed through IGNOU:

    • B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is the next step if you're aiming to become a professional teacher.

    • IGNOU B.Ed has specific eligibility criteria, such as:

      • A D.El.Ed or equivalent degree.
      • You must have at least 50% marks in your undergraduate or D.El.Ed course.

    • You can apply for the B.Ed program after completing D.El.Ed, provided you meet the eligibility requirements.

  4. Distance Learning Option for B.Ed: After completing D.El.Ed from IGNOU, you can apply for the B.Ed (Distance Education) program at IGNOU, if you fulfill their eligibility criteria, such as teaching experience (in some cases), and pass the entrance exam.

So, in summary:

  • You can definitely pursue the D.El.Ed course from IGNOU after completing your +3 .

  • Once you complete D.El.Ed, you can pursue B.Ed from IGNOU, provided you meet their eligibility and entrance requirements.

Check IGNOU's website for detailed guidelines and admission schedules to stay updated on any changes.

Yes, MBA student from distance can be eligible as IGNOU for an IBPS SO HR Personnel position as long as they have completed a recognized bachelor's degree from the recognised university, as the basic eligibility for IBPS exams is a graduation from a recognized university, and distance degrees are considered valid for such exams.

  • Check specific requirements:

Always refer to the official IBPS notification for the latest eligibility criteria, including any specific requirements for the HR Personnel role.

  • Degree recognition:

IGNOU or distance degrees are considered equivalent to degrees from traditional universities and are accepted for most government and private sector jobs, including banking exams like IBPS.

  • Specialization can be beneficial:

While a general bachelor's degree is enough to apply, having a specialization in Human Resource Management or a related field could be advantageous for an IBPS SO HR Personnel position.

Yes, you can show both your D.El.Ed and your graduation from IGNOU for a primary teacher job at Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). According to KVS recruitment rules, the essential qualifications for a Primary Teacher (PRT) position include a Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks, or its equivalent, and a Diploma of Certificate in basic teachers’ training of at least two years

Since your D.El.Ed is a two-year diploma in elementary education, it meets the requirement for the basic teachers’ training. Your graduation from IGNOU further strengthens your application by showcasing your broader educational background.

I understand your concern regarding the completion of your Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Visual Effects (BAAVFX) degree at IGNOU, especially since the program has been discontinued and you have one pending subject. In 2018, IGNOU provided two extra opportunities for students of discontinued programs, including BAAVFX, to complete their pending courses through Term End Examinations (TEE) in December 2018 and June 2019. These were one-time measures, and no further opportunities were announced thereafter.

Given that these opportunities have passed, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Contact the Student Service Centre (SSC): Reach out to the SSC for guidance on your situation. They can provide information on any current provisions or alternative pathways to complete your degree.

  2. Consult the School of Journalism and New Media Studies: Since the BAAVFX program was offered under this school, they might have specific advice or solutions for students in your position.
Visit Your Regional Centre: As you're located in Bengaluru, you can visit the IGNOU Regional Centre for personalized assistance .

When contacting these departments, provide detailed information about your enrollment, the specific course pending, and any correspondence you've had regarding this issue. They can offer the most accurate and personalized guidance to help you complete your degree.

Hello,

Your situation highlights the challenges of transitioning between programs due to curriculum changes. Here are some potential solutions:

  1. Check with IGNOU: Contact IGNOU’s Student Support or Regional Center to inquire about any exceptional provisions for students in your situation, such as completing the last semester under special approval.
  2. Institutes that accept credit transfer : Unfortunately, most Indian universities, including IGNOU, are not very liberal with credit transfer from discontinued syllabi. However, some private universities may consider it. Reach out to institutions like Amity University Online, Sikkim Manipal University, or Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, as they may evaluate your credits.
  3. If there is no institute that takes the credit transfer, consider fresh admission in IGNOU's new BCA course . You might have to take some courses again, but a good part of your study can overlap.
  4. Upgrade Skills : Instead, complete certifications such as IT or coding. This can be Python, Data Science, or Cloud Computing, for example, which will improve employability without a formal degree.

Consult IGNOU or other distance learning institutions for detailed advice.

Students seeking more information on credit transfer or distance learning can refer to Careers360 .

Hello Aniket,

If you've completed 5 out of 6 semesters of your BCA from IGNOU and are looking for a university that will allow you to transfer your credits, there are a few options to explore. Many universities have credit transfer policies, but they vary depending on the institution. Here's what you can do:

  1. Contact IGNOU: Reach out to IGNOU's student support or academic office to check if they offer any assistance in transitioning students to a new syllabus or credit transfer options to another university.

  2. Research Universities with Credit Transfer Policies: Some universities in India and abroad accept credit transfers from other universities, especially if the programs are recognized by UGC. Look for institutions that offer BCA or similar undergraduate programs and check their transfer policies.

  3. Distance Learning Universities: Universities like Amity University, Sikkim Manipal University, or Manipal University might have flexible credit transfer policies for students from institutions like IGNOU.

  4. Contact Universities Directly: Contact admissions offices at universities where you're interested in continuing your BCA. Explain your situation and ask for details on their credit transfer process.

  5. Credit Transfer Requirements: Be ready to provide syllabi, transcripts, and other relevant documents that demonstrate what you’ve already completed at IGNOU. The university will evaluate the courses you've taken and determine which credits can be transferred.

  6. Check for Online Options: Some online universities might have more flexibility in transferring credits, as they cater to a broader range of students from different institutions.

Each university will have its own specific criteria, so it's important to get in touch with the admissions or academic offices for detailed guidance on the process.

Experience has been okay.

College Infrastructure

There's no college as such however the locations where practicals or other classes are conducted are quite decent and will equipped to handle the number of students as well as provide instruction properly.

flexibility is there which is the best this plus cooperation

College Infrastructure

Since it is an open university, the physical infrastructure is not much. The online portal is resourceful but a bit outdated. Regional centers are helpful in case of queries, but facilities vary. The study material is comprehensive but sometimes delayed.
