Mahamaya College of Education, Sarsauli was established in the Year 2016 and is a co-educational institute located in Aurangabad, Bihar. The affiliating college sprawled over a 1-acre campus, has two specialized courses in education with an enrolment of 264 students. The faculty strength is 17 thus providing ample scope for attention and care for budding teachers.

Except that there are many facilities provided for the students, learning would become an enriching experience in this institution. The well-stocked library is a knowledge hub that supports the academic pursuits of this institution. The laboratories at the departmental level, where hands-on work can be permitted, form part and parcel of the teacher practical training. Even sports facilities are provided, enabling holistic development through promoting physical fitness and team spirit. There is also a cafeteria within the campus that caters nutritious food to the students and staff members. Further, an auditorium helps in organizing events, seminars, etc., and the gym helps in the physical development of the students. This is further supplemented by the brilliant IT infrastructure present within the college. 

Mahamaya College of Education runs a regular two-year course, specialized in nature, with two streams. B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. It wants to see all the competencies acquired by students to become successful professionals in their career. This has been the secret behind the high standard the college maintains regarding the teacher training course to meet the growing demand for teachers not only in this region but also throughout the region.

Admission is made on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, if prescribed by the concerned authority. Policies laid by the state government of Bihar and the affiliated university followed at Mahamaya College of Education regarding admissions. Admission to the programme of B.Ed. shall be based on merit of qualifying examination or on an Entrance Test conducted by the Authority as prescribed by the State Government and the University. Admission in D.El.Ed. Programme shall be done on merit basis, considering the marks of qualifying examination or through Entrance Examination as per policies of respective state government or UT administration.
