Maharaja Aggarsain College of Education presently Bathinda was established in the year 2006 is one of the leading institutions in the field of education in Punjab. This co-educational college of the state university emphasis on teacher education programmes. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the institute offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and MA Education. Situating a total enrolment of 194 students and having a faculty strength of 11 it offers a niche environment for budding educators. The campus located in Badal Road, Jai Singh Wala, Bathinda was established to provide a centre for learning and development in the area.

Selection to the courses is made strictly on merit depending on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination as per rules and regulation framed by the state government, U.T. Administration and the university to which the college is affiliated.
