Maharaja Ananda Gajapathi Raju Government Polytechnic, Vizianagaram is one of the prominent technical education located at the capital of ‘cotton city’ of Andhra Pradesh. This government managed polytechnic college located at Phoolbaugh Colony, Nellimarla Road has been a dream builder for young engineers for so many years. Being one of the affiliated college for AICTE also stands for All India Council for Technical Education, it offer many diploma programs to cater the industry requirement. It has 28 committed faculties in the institute the institute is focused to offer quality technical education for the students belonging to different background. This college has been equipped with number of facilities that enable it to provide its courses and improve the learning environment of students.

These amenities are comprised principal of one, a library that avails knowledge resources to the students and faculty. It boasts of having departmental Laboratories which help enhance learning particularly in technical courses as indicated below. These labs are well stocked with modern equipment and tools in such a way that practical tests are conducted by the students themselves in real environment which is the application of the theory. Further, good information technology has been adopted by the college, and the students well conversant with the modern technology. The Maharaja Ananda Gajapathi Raju Government Polytechnic currently has four programs of three years duration of full-time diploma programs. They are proffered to suit all branches of engineering and see that students build the right fundamental of the vocation they have deemed fit to pursue. The institute currently is taken as having a total intake capacity of 360 students in all the courses offered in the institute bearing in mind that the institute was established with a view of having a small number of students per an instructor or tutor.
