Maharaja College, Ujjain is one of the renowned college in Ujjain established in the year 2005 in the heart of the culturally rich city of Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college for teacher education approved by National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE] only deal in teacher education programmes. The college occupies a large piece of land of 7 acres affording provision of numerous courses to produce quality educators of the future. Situated in Mysore Maharaja College caters a total student enrolment of 285 and faculty of 10 members which form a conducive learning environment. The institution teaches 7 courses in six programmes of study, consisting of B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed, and integral B.Ed-M.Ed in teacher education and education department.

The availability of the facilities below shows that Maharaja College has the necessary infrastructures that would complement the learning process of its students. College library acts as information Centre which include a special book bank whereby students can hire their respective books at a cheap price. When it began in 2006, the programme had only 25 beneficiaries; the number of students benefited now is over fifty per annum. To facilitate practical learning the campus has well equipped laboratories, and an auditorium in which punctual activities and seminars take place. The college has an approved intake through all its programmes as 390 student seats, which gives a vast prospect of employment for prospective teachers. 

With regard to most of the programmes offered here in Maharaja College at Ujjain, the admissions are taken purely on merit basis. For the particular programmes such as B.Ed, M.Ed and the integrated B.Ed-M.Ed programmes admission is given on the merit obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examinations.
