Maharishi Arvind Institute of Engineering and Technology generally known as MAIET was set up in the year 1999 and is one of the premier educational institute in Jaipur Rajasthan. This affiliated college, recognized by AICTE, New Delhi, India, provide a wide area of engineering and management courses. MAIET spread across a campus of 6 acres of land in Sector 7 Mansarovar is slowly emerging as a center for technical learning. The admit students total strength in the institute is 539 and faculty strength is 5, which make learning environment selective. MAIET has 6 courses of 3 degrees with a focus on engineering and management.

There are numerous resources available at the institute which has been established to improve the teaching process of the related students. A modern computerized central library is an essential component of MAIET and a foundation of the University’s academic resources. Housing over 50,000 books and reference materials, the library also provides access to DELNET (Digital Network Library) and subscribes to three online E-Resources: IEL, ASME, and DEL. The physical access introduced in this digital era creates awareness of information with students access to over two hundred international research journals. 

The library also provides the Book Bank scheme to help needy students so that the company does not discriminate in providing education books. MAIET is focused in its approach to learning with well equipped laboratories as evidence by the following: Facilities include dedicated engineering labs for heat and mass transfer equipment, engine models a computer/Software lab for the computer science and electronics students. Consequently, the MAIET has include a sporting complex, a gym and separate hostels for boys and girls. The campus also is featuring an auditorium for events or for seminarians and a cafeteria, and a health center where first aid is also offered to the students.

Here at MAIET learners have the opportunity to take a variety of subjects of their choice and from all disciplines. The institute offers six full time programmes – four B.Tech programmes, one M.Tech programme and one MBA programme. B. Tech programmes include Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering for 60 students for each branch. The M.Tech programme in Machine Design has a total of nine seats, and MBA programme has total sixty seats. The definition below shows that this diverse course offering enables the students to choose from a plethora of specialties so that they can fit into different sectors in the technical and management realms. The total cumulative admission for students is 539, and this indicates the institute’s policy in the admission of students within the courses to ensure that efficient student to faculty ratio is achieved in the learning institution.

The University admission policy at MAIET is equally fair and follows the general set polices in the country. Out of total B.Tech programmes, 70% intake is through REAP, further 15% intake is from outside Rajasthan and rest 15% is under management quota. Sequentially the MBA is divided in which 85% seats are available through Rajasthan Management Admission Process (RMAP) and 15% through management seat. The M.Tech admission there follows the Centralized Admission Management (CAM) admission process. 

MAIET offers admission to students on the basis of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for admission to its B.Tech programme in order to get students with good mathematical and scientific background. Though the details regarding scholarships accessible in the institute are missing, its Book Bank scheme shows that it is ready to contribute financially to students’ needs.
