The Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha College of Computer Application for Women, Satara, was established in the year 2000 with the noble aim of providing quality education in Computer Application and other streams to women only. Affiliated to Aurora’s Shine-PU College, Satara-Maharashtra, a NAAC-accredited college emphasising providing quality education. This college enrols 907 students and employs 16 faculty members; the college provides various courses in liberal arts for females only in order to empower them. 

The college’s amenities include a variety of functional facilities to help improve the college experience for learners. Over and above these facilities is a well-stocked library with more than 10,000 books, magazines, journals, periodicals, books, and educational cassettes on various themes and subjects. Having an open-access collection policy enhances the students’ exposure and learning as it applies to the library beyond the specific course curriculum. In support of the academic offerings of the college is the modern computer laboratory equipped with current hardware and software to make the students familiar with modern technologies. 

The college has campus-wide Wi-Fi connectivity to ensure students and staff have access to the internet for their studies and research. Further, the college pays a lot of attention to physical education and sports and arranges different events in order to achieve more physical development along with the academics. The institution of higher education provides a large list of undergraduate programs providing for different fields of interest. 

Currently, the college provides four full-time courses: BCA, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, and Bachelor of Commerce Vocational. They are developed with the intention of providing learners with adequate information and skills in the areas of their specialization. In the BCA Course, BCA & B.Com. Course the college has total approved intake of 360 student divided in 120 seats for each of the BCA, BA & B.COM. Programme. The distribution of loads also balances well, bringing out the dedicated attention as well as quality education for any student who applies for enrolment.
