Mahasin B.Ed. College was established in the year 2015 and is one of the premier teacher training colleges in Birbhum District, West Bengal. This Co-educational College is affiliated with the University of Burdwan and also granted recognition by NCTE. Within a compact campus of 0.70054 acres, the College provides an ideal and sound learning environment for the future teachers of the Nation. With 18 dedicated faculty members, Mahasin B.Ed. College works towards sculpting the future of education by developing skilled and passionate teachers.

Being conscious of the demands its students would be making on the Institution, it has built up quite a few facilities that would enrich the learning experience. The first among the academic resources is the well-stocked library with about 5,000 books on subjects relating to education and pedagogy. The tastefully decorated multipurpose hall has a seating capacity of 300 and is equipped with modern audiovisual systems, which can be used for various collaborative activities and events. Departmental laboratories provide hands-on experience to students. Very good IT infrastructure supports keeping up with the fast-changing technological developments in the education sector. Sports facilities are available on campus, thus avowing to the all-rounded development of the student. At present, Mahasin B.Ed. College is offering a single, specialized course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program. This full-time course is for two years and has been structured to enable the students to build up a successful career in teaching.

Admission to Mahasin B.Ed. College is based on merit in accordance with the state government and the affiliated university policies. Applicants are selected on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination, which may be supplemented by an entrance examination or other selection processes as laid down by the authorities.
