UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello Nishanth,
Through JEE Mains Rank candidates can take admission into B-Category quota in Top Private Engineering Colleges like Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Gandipet, Vasavi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, VNR Vignan Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, etc if they have good JEE Mains Rank.
JEE Mains closing ranks differs for branch to branch, College to College and it differs from year to year. You can mostly get Non- IT branches in these Colleges for your JEE Mains percentile based on previous year's data and it is difficult to get B.Tech Information Technology or B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering in these Colleges. But you can give a try by applying for B-Category seats in these Colleges.
You can predict Colleges based on your JEE Mains Rank using below mentioned College Predictor Tool.

Hello Aspirant,
Both of the colleges i.e, Vardhaman College of Engineering, Hyderabad and Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad are undoubtedly very good colleges for BTech courses in terms of placements and quality education.
But as you need to choose any one of them, so choose accordingly.
Vardhaman is under the affiliation of JNTUH and is also approved by AICTE, NBA and UGC with NAAC Accreditation Grade 'A'. It was Ranked 143 by NIRF 2020 .
The highest package attained by a student of IT Branch was around 12 LPA with average package ranging from 5 LPA.
MGIT is also under the affiliation of JNTUH and is approved by AICTE, NBA and UGC with NAAC Accreditation Grade 'A'. It was Ranked 201 by NIRF 2020.
The highest package attained by a student of ECE Branch was around 10 LPA with average package ranging around 4 LPA.
And both of the branches i.e, IT and ECE Branch are a career oriented course. So you should according to your interest as placement depends on the one himself , not any colleges .
Although, it is difficult to choose any one of them, but under minute scale Vardhaman for IT is more recommend compared to MGIT for ECE.

All the best Champ.
Hello dear ,
I hope you are doing well. As per your query you are asking for which is better college in different courses between ECE in Mahatma Gandhi institute of technology or CSE in Vidhya Jyoti institute of technology .
as per the information and rating of college portals in my opinion VJIT is better college than that of MGIT .
Hello Sir,
To fetch a seat in local colleges through JEE Mains percentile you need to have a better score and rank. The predicted cut off varies around 1lakh or below that. Your daughter will surely get a seat if the rank is below 1lakh.As there are limited seats through this so called B-Category you have tough chances to grab a seat with the provided CRL rank.
But it is quite easy for her to get an admission with the EAMCET rank as 14000 is not a bad grade. She can get good domains in some of the top colleges in Hyderabad.
Cut off trends of MGIT,

Cut off trends of CBIT,

Cut off trends of Gokaraju Rangaraju,
Check out the link below to know more about Gokaraju Rangaraju,
The above cut off trends are based on previous year cut off's so the original result may vary.
If the rank doesn't match the cut off you can still expect a seat in 2nd counselling as there is flexibility.

Hello Aspirant,
Different domains like NIRF rank, placements, faculty, infrastructure, facilities, courses offered and student reviews of MGIT and VNRVJIT are as follows,
MGIT
VNRVJIT
So, choosing a college is subjective but based on your expectations and requirements choose it accordingly.
Opting a college which has better median salary and better features is ideal. So you can go with MGIT . As the choice is subjective and it depends on you too.
According to branch I would say both ECE and EEE have many subjects in common so there is only a minimal difference. But opting a college which has better median salary and better features is ideal. So you can go with VNRVJIET. But the choice is subjective and it depends on you too.
Thank You!
Hello aspirant.
It depends on you what to coose.
If you want to study ece and go to communications or software side then go for ece in mgit.
Or else if you want to go towards the core related jobs then go for eee in vnr.
Comparing the colleges and their facilities like infrastructure and campus placement offers and other aspects vnr is better compared to mgit.
Hello aspirant,
In Engineering colleges, direct admission can be based on candidate's JEE MAINS Exam score and 10+2 percentage and there are also exams on State or University level to take direct admission in engineering college ,on that examination scores you can take direct admission in that perticular engineering College.
If you want to get admission from b category then you have to get the complete information of the college you want to know if they are taking such exams.
ADDITIONAL : you can also predict all types of colleges according to your state and choices through the following link...

Hi,
Hope you are doing great. Rank predictor shows that your probable rank is somewhat around 175204- 246089. In that rank, you can not get admission in CBIT. And you have to appear in EAMCET for getting chance in Vasavi, MGIT, Gokaraju rangaraju, VNR and Gurunanak college. Hope you are appearing in that.

This college offers superb infrastructure with modern buildings and advanced amenities. The classrooms are equipped with the latest tech, and the library provides extensive resources. The sports facilities are top class offering various options for physical activities
Wi-Fi is provided in library and the department has two well equipped labs. The hostel is 2 km away from the college, and the food is not that good. The sports room is available after 3 p.m. every day and has indoor games, The college has a medical room with beds and emergency medicine.
College is covered in 258 acers. It is a very peaceful campus. All the infrastructure is there. When I was studying there is no wifi facility. Now it is provided. Cleanliness is maintained in the campus.
