Mahatma Phule College of Education, situated in Chalisgaon, was established in 2004 and is one of the leading colleges fulfilling the needs of teacher education. This affiliated college situated at Jalgaon, Maharashtra has gained approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college occupies only a 2.5 acre plot; therefore, the teaching and learning process at this college is received with a lot of focus. The total number of students enrolled in the institute is 43 and faculty members are only 11 and thus the institute promises quality education and individual attention. Mahatma Phule College of Education presently has only one degree programme: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in keeping with its primary mission of teacher training and development. 

Mahatma Phule College of Education has developed the various facilities that can complement the learning activity of the college learners. Book Embassy is a name given to a well-furnished, well-stocked library that is an important centre for gaining knowledge for academic purposes. The institution also contains departmental practical laboratories necessary and useful for training teachers. Females students can only stay in a girls’ hostel which is located 1km from the campus and can house up to 35 student. As for the modern-oriented college, one should mention the IT provision that is appropriate establishing the college’s reputation for using technology in teaching to the students. Sports facilities are laid down for all student’s so that they can enhance their physical strength and also have team sprit. An aid post with first aid kit services addresses the health emergencies, whereas the cafeteria offer some food and beverages to member of staff and students. The college also provided Guest house and waiting area for faculty visitor and students’ family members. 

Faculty of Mahatma Phule College is dedicated only to its B.Ed course for which they have 50 admission capacities. This is a full course which spans for two years in order to impart the knowledge and practical experience students will require in the teaching profession. The college’s main concentration results in productive analyses of the educational theory and practice needed for successful graduates to give a lot to the enhancement of education.

At Mahatma Phule College of Education, the admission in the respective course is based on merit in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination. The college follows admission policies that have been laid down by the state government, UT administration as well as the affiliated university.
