Mahavir Swami College of Engineering and Technology, Surat, Gujarat, an important Engineering Institution in the city, started in the year 2012. Mahavir Swami College of Engineering and Technology (MSCET), situated in the city of Surat, is a renowned institution of choice from among the numerous engineering colleges formed. It offers various B.Tech programs, and the admission procedure has been smoothly arranged to attract candidates both with academically sound backgrounds and a keen interest in engineering studies. The Institute is duly approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which keeps the quality in education intact. In general, the admission processes for MSCET concentrate mainly on the Gujarat Common Entrance Test, GUJCET. This state-level examination holds its weight for all aspiring engineers to secure admission into the different engineering programs of the college. 

The process usually runs from mid-December to the first week of January. Regarding the next entrance examinations, GUJCET applications will begin from December 15, 2024, to January 7, 2025. Application Process

The application procedure of Mahavir Swami College of Engineering and Technology, Surat, is as follows:

1. GUJCET Registration: The first step is registration for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). The application process for GUJCET 2025 is from December 15, 2024, to January 7, 2025. Applications are to be submitted online through the official GUJCET website.

2. GUJCET Examination: For the GUJCET, which is conducted online, the candidates are required to take the exam. The subjects of the exam comprise Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

4. Counselling Registration: Candidates who qualify must apply for the centralized counseling process conducted by the Gujarat government for engineering admissions.

5. Document Verification: During the counseling process, candidates are asked to submit and verify their documents, including:

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • School leaving certificate
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant certificates as specified by the admission authority

6. Choice Filling: Candidates need to fill in their college and course preferences during the counseling process. If candidates are interested in MSCET and various B.Tech programs offered therein, they must include them in the choices.

7. Seat Allotment: Based on the GUJCET rank, preferences, and availability of seats, candidates will be assigned seats in different colleges and programs.

8. Admission Confirmation: In case of the seat allotment at MSCET, the candidate should confirm his admission by paying the fees and submitting documents at the college within the stipulated time.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Tech Computer Engineering: B.Tech in Computer Engineering with an approved intake of 60 students is offered at the MSCET. Admissions will be based on the GUJCET scores followed by counseling. The program is centered on giving students a good foundation in computer science and engineering principles.

B.Tech Electrical Engineering: The college also offers a B.Tech course in Electrical Engineering with 60 seats. Candidates seeking admission to this program must qualify in GUJCET and participate in the subsequent counseling process. The course is designed to equip students with knowledge of electrical systems and technologies.

B.Tech Automobile Engineering: The B.Tech program in Automobile Engineering is running at MSCET. The specific intake is not mentioned, but admission is based on GUJCET and subsequent counseling. The program caters to students interested in automotive design and engineering.

Yes, it has all the facilities and equipment that a students want. The college have a huge libraries and laboratories of different branch like automotive and Computer etc etc. well to be honest some of well maintained and some are not. Yes spaces are neat and clean and food the canteen provides are definitely delicious and hygiene.

Life at college.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is average at our college, it has very limited facilities and equipments. Very old intruments in civil department no new technology. Campus is full of wifi it has all facilities of sports and has all equipments. Cleaning is not very much maintained.
