Mahila B.Ed. College, Aurangabad or Mahila Mahavidyalya, Aurangabad is a Women’s College, set up in the year 2006. Originally established in the year 1958 at Silar, Aurangabad, Bihar, this college trains teachers efficiently. It is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to have quality standard for its education. The college occupies only 0.98842 acres of land spread over a small area and has a current student population of 205 all female, as a women’s college. The college consists of 16 member faculty, which puts it in a position of a very healthy student-to-faculty ratio desirable for the students. 

The college has put in place a number of infrastructural amenities that aims at improving tuition for the students. The library is one of the main academic facilities that accumulate 4,000 books and have 80 magazines. It also has up to date facilities like computer connected to the internet, video camera, and still camera to meet various learning styles. The multipurpose science laboratory is very equipped with electronic equipments and items suited for practical use. Regarding other related co-curricular activities and functions of the college; it contains an auditorium, sporting activities, and a gym to enhance the students’ all round learning. The institution also attaches importance to acquired technology with good quality IT facilities; the students are also equipped to fit in the modern technological world. At present Mahila B.Ed. College conducts two full time courses in the stream of education and training. 

The B.Ed program has an approved intake capacity as 100, while the D.El.Ed program has approved intake capacity same as fifty. Both courses take two years yielding a sound knowledge of teaching practices and theories in education. The fact that the college offers these two specialized programmes means that a lot of emphasis is placed on developing qualified educators. Offering an estimated number of 150 seats between the two courses, the institution has a vital role in transforming the future of learning in thefacilities.

A student’s admission to Mahila B.Ed. College depends on her performance in the qualifying examinations as well as entrance examinations. The college operates within the legal framework of admission policies and standards of the state government, the UT administration and the University to which the college is affiliated.
