Mahrshi Shandilya Prashikshan Sansthan, Jagdishpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-stocked library having nearly seven thousand books and a regular subscription to magazines and daily newspapers. It caters to the needs of 400 students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Library services are fully automated. The Library has a reading facility for 100 students at a time. The Library uses the Library Management Software (LMS) 'LibSys' version 7. It also uses Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) technology for efficient management of the library and its services and convenience for users. The Library is well equipped with all the modern facilities and resources (print and electronic) in the forms of CDROMs, DVD-ROM, video cassettes, books, journals, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library equipped with necessary modern equipment in order to provide various digital modes of library services. The library follows the Dewey Decimal System of classification, 23rd edition, and Books are processed by using AACR-II code. The Call Number in the OPAC helps in locating the books on the shelves. Books are arranged on the shelves in numerical order from 000-999. The library remains open on all working days. Apart from normal working days it also opens on Saturdays, Sundays, and other Holidays during examinations. To become a member, students should fill out and submit a prescribed membership form to the library.

The College currently has 20 spacious, amphitheater-style classrooms on Campus which provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. They have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented with integrated audio–visual teaching aids for lectures, presentations, etc. Special sessions, seminars, and classes are also held on teaching etiquette, negotiation skills, effective communication, leadership, teamwork, and analytical skills.

The College has Sports facilities in the college including a large playground. Intensive training is imparted under expert guidance. Each year, students of Maharshi Shandilya Prashikshan Sansthan achieve notable distinctions, and some of them are selected for All India Inter-University and National tournaments. Facilities are provided for Athletics, Badminton, Volley Ball, and Kabaddi. 

The College has We try to ensure proper training and practical learning for students through our labs. We have the following labs with all the necessary infrastructures, apparatus, and tools to run them fluently. Educational Technology Lab, Language Lab, Psychology Lab, Computer Lab, Physical Education, etc.

The College has provided state-of-the-art conference halls with a large seating capacity that act as a common ground for students, faculty, and guest personalities for regular interfaces, conferences, and other events. At these platforms, you will come across various global thought leaders, academic gurus, and academic heads who will share their teaching experiences with you. For events of a smaller scale, the seminar halls, equipped with advanced presentation tools, are the ideal venue. 

The College has students who are provided with excellent gym and yoga facilities. The simple yet comfortable environment provides a congenial setting in which regular exercise and relaxation become a real pleasure, in a friendly & welcoming atmosphere. The gym sports a variety of equipment that caters to virtually all sporting needs of the students from serious cardio-vascular workouts to maintaining a general level of fitness. 

The College has recently refurnished the canteen as the hub of out-of-class discussions and exchange of information. It provides snacks, drinks, and lunch at subsidized rates. A healthy mind can only reside in a healthy body. Hence, all menus that are available are designed by a team of professional dieticians and offer nutritious and wholesome food to ensure a well-balanced diet. This Canteen also provides meals to all hostellers. 

The College has A healthy body makes for a healthy mind. In order to ensure your well-being there is a Medical Room in the College which provides first aid needs. An Allopathic doctor is available for consultation, for three hours, two times a week. An Ayurvedic doctor gives consultations twice a week, while a Homoeopathic doctor visits once a week. We have tie-ups with renowned hospitals to take care of any kind of emergency. 

The College has Hostel Facilities for girls which come closest to being a home away from home. There are Separate Hostel facilities for girls. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and hygienic with natural air and light, caring wardens, and tight security arrangements to ensure a pleasant stay, allowing students to focus on academics. Provision is made for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in the college Canteen.
