Maibang Degree College, established in 1988, is an affiliated college located in Maibang, Assam. This co-educational institution has a sprawling 19.17-acre campus with a serene ambiance, conducive to learning. Currently, it has a total student enrolment of 206 students and a faculty strength of 20 dedicated educators. Maibang Degree College offers a varied range of undergraduate programs: the institution offers 10 courses in 3 degrees. The institution is mainly oriented towards arts and science streams with specialisations in Assamese, Bengali, English, Education, Economics, Political Science, History, and Sociology. 

The college has a number of facilities to enrich the learning experience for the students studying in the college. The library, well-stacked with books and other academic materials, acts as a knowledge hub. The sports and fitness enthusiasts will find several types of sports facilities available in the college. It also knows how to keep pace with technology and hence boasts a great IT infrastructure with nine ICT-enabled smart classrooms that make sure that students are truly ready to face the digital age. Maibang Degree College offers a total of 10 undergraduate courses, all of which are full-time programs. The approved intake of the BA program is 265 students, and there are other specialised courses, too, like BA (Hons) in various subjects. The institution also offers a B.Sc. program, thus making the academic spectrum wide.

The college also accepts the Common University Entrance Test scores for admissions at the UG level.
