Majlis Polytechnic College, Puramannur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Majlis Polytechnic College is a new polytechnic College situated inPuramannur, Malappuram established in 2017. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provides engineers diploma courses in various fields of engineering. The college occupies a small territory of 4.25 acres, total number of students enroled is 757, and the number of faculty members is 43. The Majlis Polytechnic College being a Polytechnic College with technical education has offered five diploma courses so as to meet the aspirations of young engineers across the region.

 Majlis Polytechnic College strives to give the desired environment to the students for learning. It offers a number of amenities to help the education process in its delivery. There is a functional library on the campus, a centre of excellence for the students and teachers. Female students have an added advantage because there is a girls’ hostel offered to students to accommodate them in fine conditions. The college also does have facilities that support sports that aid students who want to balance their academics and lifestyle. In order to effected the course offering to meet up with modern technological development, Majlis Polytechnic College has equipped itself with a good IT facility that comprises of wired interconnection and Wireless fidelity on the campus. The institution has equipped the students with practical lab facilities, efficient teaching aid facilities, a canteen to cater for the students needs. In addition, there are enough parking space for faculties, staffs and students in and around the campus.

The programmes which are offered at Majlis Polytechnic College include five various full–time diploma courses, and all of them take three years. These programmes include the major engineering disciplines which give the student the right grounding among the disciplines in his/her area of specialisation. The college has a total approved intake of 300seats in all its programmes, the college can take 60 students for each programme. This approach gives individual quality time and classroom education to all the students enroled with this school. The courses are Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering, Civil, and Computer Engineering.

In the current development, admission of students into Majlis Polytechnic College is as easy for students. Like in other polytechnic colleges of Kerala, qualification in the respective qualifying examinations is usually considered.
