Malabar Dental College and Research Centre was established in 2007, it is an affiliated dental college located at Mudur, Kerala. Located on a spacious 25 acre land, this dental college is recognised by the Dental council of India and operating under the affiliation of the National Assessment Accreditation Council. The college has a broad course portfolio within dentistry, which comprises 9 courses at 3 levels of degrees. The flagship course of the institute is the BDS programme that has been approved for 100 intake capacity. At postgraduate level, the college offers Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in five separate fields including Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Oral Medicine & Radiology, Periodontology having 2-3 seats in each branch. In addittion, the college provide Diploma in Dental Mechanics with 10 seats. The total student capacity over all the courses is 553, this shows the institutes ability to produce quality dentists to the many students interested in the field.

The admission process at Malabar Dental College and Research Centre involves largely the all India entrance test. In the case of BDS programme, there is a following of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) with regards to the admission process.
