Malda Polytechnic, Malda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Malda Polytechnic was established shortly in 1962. Since then it has been contributing towards the roots from where budding engineers take off. Based in Malda, West Bengal, and affiliated with the government, the college has a vast campus of 16.78 acres. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Malda Polytechnic offers a varied array of diploma programs catering to different branches of engineering. The institute has an enrolment of 764 students and a faculty strength of 21, maintaining a very conducive student-teacher ratio to provide personalised attention and quality education.

The institute boasts comprehensive facilities, each playing a very pivotal role in ensuring an all-round learning experience. One such distinguishing feature is the boys' hostel, which is well equipped for comfort especially for those coming from different regions. There is little information on other facilities apart from the libraries, sports and laboratory buildings, among many others, which are important in supporting academic and non-academic initiatives. The presence of such facilities explains the commitment that Malda Polytechnic has toward creating in its students a nurturing environment where learning and growth can be enriched.

Malda Polytechnic runs a total of five diploma courses, all full time except the Diploma in Automobile Engineering, which is an off-campus mode having an intake while learning on a distance mode. Hence the programs offered are in technical education in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and Food Processing Technology. A sanctioned intake of 60 in all these programs adds to a total figure of 300 for the courses offered.
