Malik Sandal Polytechnic was started in the year 1983 and is located inVijayapur, Karnataka. This affiliated college, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), also provides diploma course in different fields of engineering. Located in a 5-acre piece of land, the institute among having a total intakes of 759 students has a faculty of 40 members. As a technical Institute committed to providing Technical Education Malik Sandal Polytechnic has been shaping the future engineers for over three and half decades.

In addition, the campus has a canteen, play grounds and health facility that offers first aid to the students to cater for their total personality needs.

In total, Malik Sandal Polytechnic has seven diploma programmes and all of these programmes are full time programmes. It is offering Diploma in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology and Commercial Practice. These programmes provide an overall approved intake of 270 seats in which the institute addresses the needs of students interested in various technical disciplines. All the diploma programmes should take three academic years to complete, which will give the students a stable platform on which to base their learning in their areas of specialisation.
