Malineni Lakshmaiah College of Pharmacy is an affiliated college that was established in 1999. It is located in Singarayakonda, Andhra Pradesh, which is approved by PCI, offering different programmes under pharmaceutical education. The 35-acre campus of MLCP is continuously shaping the pharmacy professionals for the last two decades. The institute consists of 21 member faculty who are committed to giving quality education in the field of pharmacy. MLCP's 4 courses are spread over 3-degree courses specialising in the field of pharmaceutical sciences with the qualifications at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The college prides itself on strictly providing modern facilities in a favourable atmosphere for learning. MLPC maintains a well-stocked library that acts as the knowledge centre for students and lecturers. The institute is also proud to have modern laboratories to provide first-hand experiences that are relevant in the education of a pharmacist. In addition, the college provides cafeteria and transportation facilities for the convenience of the students and staff. MLCP also has a very good IT infrastructure to update students with the latest technologies in the field. Home accommodations for boys and girls will be provided separately on the college campus to give students coming from out-station a good living environment. An active alumni association helps keep the ties strong between past and present students, therefore providing a beneficial atmosphere.

MLCP has a wide range of pharmacy courses at the diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels—4 full-time programmes— together with offerings in D. Pharma, B. Pharma, and M. Pharma in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis. An intake capacity of 168 seats is the only approved strength so far. 

The admission process in Malineni Lakshmaiah College of Pharmacy is designed to be fair and open. MLCP accepts scores from Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) for undergraduate admissions and uses the AP PGECET scores as an entrance test for postgraduate courses. Entrance tests makes sure that only meritorious students are selected for MLCP to pursue pharmaceutical education. The Malineni Lakshmaiah College of Pharmacy (MLCP) in Singarayakonda is a famous institution providing quality education in pharmaceutical sciences. The institutions approved by the PCI follow a very fair and purpose-tuned admission process to select the most deserving candidates to its pharmacy courses. The admission procedure at MLCP is intended to be equitable and justifiable and follows the line of international standards as set by the relevant authorities in Andhra Pradesh.

Admission to MLCP is held sometime in the months after the announcement of results of qualifying entrance examinations. For undergraduate course entries, it adopts the ranks of Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET); for postgraduate entries, the basis for selection is the rank secured at AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test). The entrance examination is conducted around the May-June months with the declaration of results by July.

Different eligibility criteria apply to different programs. Candidates for the B.Pharma are expected to have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as essential subjects. With regard to M.Pharma specialization, the candidates are required to hold the B.Pharma degree of any university recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. The D.Pharma candidates should have passed 10+2 in science subjects.

Application Process

Malineni Lakshmaiah College of Pharmacy accepts applications for a different program but maintains a common procedure. In brief the application process is:

1. Qualify for the relevant entrance examination (B.Pharm, AP EAMCET; M.Pharm, AP PGECET).

2. Register for the state-level counseling process as notified by the respective authorities.

3. Fill in the application form either online or offline as notified by MLCP for the selected course.

4. Submit all requisites of the application, which include:

  • Entrance test score card
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • Degree certificate and mark sheets (for M.Pharma applicants)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

5. Pay the application fee as prescribed by the college.

6. In case of being shortlisted, candidate required to attend counseling for seat allotment based on merit and availability.

7. After seat allotment, candidates are required to complete the admission procedure for documentation verification along with fee payment at MLCP within the stipulated time frame.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The B.Pharma course at MLCP has an approved intake of 60 seats. Admission is done based on the merit score obtained by the candidate in AP EAMCET. Eligible candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with either Physics, Chemistry, and Maths or Biology. The candidate's performance in AP EAMCET will determine their rank for allocation of seats by state authority counselling.

M.Pharma: MLCP offers two specializations in M.Pharma Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Each discipline has an approved seat intake of 24. Admissions are strictly through AP PGECET. An eligible candidate must possess a B.Pharm degree from any recognised university. Again, the final admission selection may depend on a combination of results: score in entrance, academic merit in B.Pharma, and/or additional requirements from the concerned college or affiliating university.

D.Pharma: The D.Pharma course at MLCP approved intake is 60. These admission grants for the Diploma are usually based on candidates' merit as per their qualifying examinations. If prescribed by the state pharmacy council or the affiliating body, entrance test scores may also be taken into account.

MLCP's admission model is framed to be friendly to students. Interested candidates are urged to;
