As an affiliated college, Malla Reddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in the year 2005 and is located in Medchal, Telangana. This council approval includes those from the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and the institute is situated on 6.29 acres of land; it provides a set of pharmaceutical programmes. It offers a student teacher ratio with 640 students for the total intake and 40 faculty members at the institute. The college provides 5 courses at 3 degree levels and focuses on different aspects of pharmaceutical sciences. Located in Maisammaguda, Dhulapally near Secunderabad, it is easy for student from other parts of the region to access the training.

The different facilities available at Malla Reddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences facilitate learning and development of the students. Often described as the centre of the institution, the library comprises of documentation of over 5831 volumes and 850 titles together with journal subscriptions of 25 international and 10 national journals. This rich resource particularly assists students and faculty to be informed on current advances in pharmaceutical sciences. The college also provides well furnished laboratories for different fields like Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy. These are commercial structured laboratories which are sometimes relinquished then updated to met with technological requirements. To facilitate the students of the institute, there are facilities like hostels for boys, a canteen and transportation. It also provides sports facilities, a gym and an uditorium for other co curricular activities and functions.

The courses offered at Malla Reddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences include full range of courses in the field of pharmacy. There are also 5 full time courses being offered in the institute, that is undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. At the undergraduate level, the college offers 4 year B.Pharma course with an intake of 50 students per year. At postgraduate level, the institute provides M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics, and Phrama eutical Analysis, both of 2years duration. In addition, 6-year Pharm.D and 3-year Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate course are also offered in college. All these programmes are meant to be full-time, regular courses to help administer adequate time and practical exposure to the students.

Admission procedure in Malla Reddy Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences differs according to the course. For B.Pharma programme, the admission is through the ranks obtained in Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) entrance exam. The requirements for qualifying in order to become an M.Pharma aspiring student is the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET). Consequently, the Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate programme equally approves the TS PGECET scores with the students’ admission. These entrance exams help the institute to make sure that students who seek admission into their institution have a good background knowledge of the subjects that they are expected to offer.
