Affiliated to Kuvempu University, Jnana Sahyadri Shankaragattu Malur Kolar District of Karnataka state, Manasa B.Ed. College, Malur was established in 2016. This school for boys and girls is one of the private institutions which has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is dedicated to offering teacher education. Based in a small plot of 1.065 acres, the college opened its doors to a single programme of study with a total enrolment of 300 students. Currently, sixteen members of the faculty teach at the institute; therefore, it has a reasonable teachers to students ratio. Manasa B.Ed. College aims groom professionals in teaching field and ensure that students graduate with excellence to face challenges in teaching field.

This offered degree at two years’ duration will provide the student with all the theoretical and practical requirements to meet the challenges of teaching profession. Currently the programme has an approved intake capacity of one hundred seats to maximise teaching and learning. It is however hard to come by specific data on the graduations in the latest year but the college enrolment corresponds well with the intake capacity indicating a healthy demand for the programme.
