Mandar College, Mandar, started in 1972 is among the well known colleges situated in Ranchi, Jharkhand. This constituent college established and situated in the large area of 10 acres is providing educational service to the beneficiary community for the past more than five decades. Recognised by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the Mandar College is concerned with achieving quality standards in education policy. The total number of students enrolled in the college is 4635 and the faculty members in the college teaching the students are 36. Two are the undergraduate courses offered by the institute, both in arts and commerce fields.

Mandar College provides students with state of the art amenities that will improve the students’ overall experiences in addition to promoting scholarly endeavours. College library is an important element of any college where students can find almost everything they need to increase their knowledge. Where expansion is needed, separate hostel accommodation to cater for the students of the opposite sex is avails to provide adequate and comfortable accommodation for students. There are facilities in the campus to allow practical coursework, especially in science such as practical laboratories. There is availability of college sports facilities, gymnasium, internet, all those benefits that help the students to have a physical and mental balance facility. The institution also has a health centre with amenities for first aid to enable it support students’ health. An auditorium for instance is available on the college premises to aid in occasions and seminars to enhance the students’ college life.

In terms of academic offerings, Mandar College currently provides two full-time undergraduate courses: Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (B Com). The two programmes take a duration of three years offering education to those students who wish to study humanities and business studies in particular.
