Mangalam College of Education Ettumanoor situated in Kottayam district – Kerala was established in 1995 dedicated mainly for teacher training. This co-educational college, recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University and certified by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college is located in a vast plot of 35 acres and provides 2 Full time teacher education programmes in total for 112 students. This institute is proud to have a faculty of total 13 well dedicated teaching faculty members that ultimately have also helped in maintaining a proper student teacher ratio. Mangalam College of Education has a vision and mission of producing quality educators through its focused B.Ed and M.Ed courses.
Mangalam College of Education has Number of facilities that enhance the learning activities of the students in the college. Of critical important, the library with its rich collection of 8632 books and 10 journal,”The library has also attained full automation system for the convenience of users. The college has availableabis for people interested in doing various sports activities, as well as, student performances and other functions taken in the auditorium. There are sophisticated laboratories in the campus; a modern health center; first aid ;a gym for student’s health. It infrastructure has features of supporting modern learning approaches and a cafeteria provides food solution to the college populace. Mangalam College of Education has put in place two broad relevant programmes in education. The two courses are residential programmes which carry full-time course of study aimed at producing effective teachers and leaders in education. The admission capacity of B.Ed course is 50 and the admission capacity of M.Ed course also is 50.
