Mankar College, Burdwan was established in the year 1987 at Mankar in West Bengal. This 9.82-acre campus offers diverse academic courses with a student strength of 2,150 students. B.A.(Honours): Courses offered are B.A. Honours in nine subjects: Bengali, English, Political Science, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Santali, and Geography. The college also provides B.A. Honours in Physical Education and Economics. Admission will be on the basis of marks obtained in the subject concerned in the 10+2 exam. The approved intake has been made for each subject, with Bengali accepting the most of 174 seats.
B.Sc. (Honours): The college offers B.Sc. Honours programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, and Physics. Each of these programs admits no more than 10 students for Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Nutrition and 9 for Physics. Admission shall be according to a candidate's performance in the science subjects at the 10+2 level.
B.Com. (Honours): The intake approved for B.Com. Honours in Accountancy is 119 seats in Mankar College. Admission is according to marks in commerce-related subjects in the 10+2 examination.
M.A. in Bengali: M.A. in Bengali is offered at this college for master's studies. The admission procedure for this program is expected to be on the basis of marks obtained in the B.A. Bengali (Honours) degree or equivalent qualification.
