Mankar College, Burdwan was established in the year 1987 at Mankar in West Bengal. This 9.82-acre campus offers diverse academic courses with a student strength of 2,150 students. The institution is accredited to NAAC, which makes more concern about the quality of education in the institute. Mankar College has a faculty strength of 29 dedicated educators, who teach 17 courses across 7 degree programmes with specialisations in the respective disciplines of the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams.

They are BA with honours in Bengali, English, Political Science, History, Hindi, Sanskrit, Philosophy, Santali, and Geography. The Science stream has, from 2009 onwards, started B.Sc programs in Computer Science and Mathematics. The Commerce stream provides B.Com with honours in Accountancy. Courses on General BA, B.Sc, and B.Com are also offered. The college provides postgraduate training in MA in Bengali.
