Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College, Pandalam, was established in the year 2005 and participates in the affiliated college situated in Pandalam, Kerala, India. Thus this institute holds recognition from the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) and specialises in imparting education in Ayurvedic system of medicine only. The college is located in a 30 acre campus and has total strength of 297 students and has total faculty with 35 teachers. Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has 2 degrees having 2 courses in traditional Ayurvedic medical systems. It is also a coeducational college; every man and woman has the same opportunities to continue education in Ayurveda.

There are various facilities available in the institute to meet the student’s necessities required for learning as well as their welfare. The college library is centrally located and well-stocked with all first and second edition Ayurveda books and research material. For practical training purpose, Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has departmental laboratories that make the students to practice on Ayurvedic medicine preparation & Research. The boys’ hostel accommodates 12 student while the girls hostel facilities 180 students. A health centre with first aid facilities makes sure that the students are health wise well equipped. It offers IT facilities for today’s group learning processes. As for organisational facilities, there are equipped sport sections and a hall for assemblies and performances. There is a cafeteria where students, teachers and other members of staff are served with their meals and there are also facilities that house guest faculty members and relatives of students.

Degree wise Admission Process

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has a sanctioned strength of 60 students for BAMS course. Admission through merit/government seat is based on the rank list of State Medical Entrance Examination conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram. Management quota seats can be availed only after passing the medical entrance examination by candidates. The process includes a blend of merit- and management-based choices and provides opportunity for candidates who are eligible to come from diverse walks of life.

MD Dravyaguna: An MD course is provided by the college in the postgraduate program of Ayurvedic Pharmacology. Admission of 4 students is approved to this program. Only those individuals can apply who are successful at passing the BAMS course.
