Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College, Pandalam, was established in the year 2005 and participates in the affiliated college situated in Pandalam, Kerala, India. Thus this institute holds recognition from the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) and specialises in imparting education in Ayurvedic system of medicine only. The college is located in a 30 acre campus and has total strength of 297 students and has total faculty with 35 teachers. Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has 2 degrees having 2 courses in traditional Ayurvedic medical systems. It is also a coeducational college; every man and woman has the same opportunities to continue education in Ayurveda.

There are various facilities available in the institute to meet the student’s necessities required for learning as well as their welfare. The college library is centrally located and well-stocked with all first and second edition Ayurveda books and research material. For practical training purpose, Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has departmental laboratories that make the students to practice on Ayurvedic medicine preparation & Research. The boys’ hostel accommodates 12 student while the girls hostel facilities 180 students. A health centre with first aid facilities makes sure that the students are health wise well equipped. It offers IT facilities for today’s group learning processes. As for organisational facilities, there are equipped sport sections and a hall for assemblies and performances. There is a cafeteria where students, teachers and other members of staff are served with their meals and there are also facilities that house guest faculty members and relatives of students.

Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College has in total 2 full-time courses related to Ayurvedic system of medicine out of which two courses are authorised. Student intake across all the programmes of the institute is 64. The largest course the college offers is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) programme over which it has 60 seats. At the postgraduate level, the college provides admission to MD in Dravyaguna with total of 4 seats. These programmes are intended to offer all-round learning in Ayurveda so that the students could become professional workers in Ayurvedic health systems.

The procedure of admitting students at Mannam Ayurveda Co-operative Medical College is largely through examination. For the BAMS programme, admissions to merit and government seats will be based on the rank list of the State Medical Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Thiruvananthapuram. NEET-UG scores are also an acceptable standard when it comes to entrance to the college for BAMS courses. Based on their score in AIAPGET, candidate who have completed their postgraduate degree like MD Dravyaguna are also considered. The college, on the other hand, regulates how many of the remaining seats it fills, however the candidates who wish to get admission into management quota have to pass the medical entrance exam as well.
