Mannan Institute of Science and Technology, situated in Chevella, is a well known institution in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. Set with an aim of offering quality technical learning, the institute has, over the years, developed into a highly recognised institution in the area of engineering. MIST has a large area of coverage with 26 acres of land which provides the necessary environment for learning. Of the students, the institute has enroled 474 in total and it continues strictly with a student-to-teacher ratio in order to give focused individual attention.

MIST boasts of modern facilities with a view to providing students with quality atmosphere to maintain their learning process. This institute has well developed I.T infrastructure to provide the students all types of technologies and resources required for their academics. Also, MIST accommodates sophisticated laboratories for engineering with proper requirements like Mechanical Engineering Lab, Automobile Engineering Lab etc. All these units afford students practical exposure so that there exists no discrepancy between what students learn in theory and what they practice in reality.

The institute has some serious engineering programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of studies. MIST provides 7 courses: BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Electrical engineering, Master of Computer Science and Engineering and ME Masters in Business Administration. The BE programmes each have an intake of 60 seats then ME in Computer Science and Engineering (intake 36), ME in VLSI (intake 18) programmes. Flexibility of courses offered allows the student to posses a particular area of specialty in their area of desire.

Mannan Institute of Science and Technology has put admission standards that are both fair and efficient. Those students who have taken certain well-known entrance tests are welcome to study at the institute, such as the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET), and Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). These exams are critical in clearing a path for those would be students that wish to study in this prestigious institution. The programmes of MIST are recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) meaning the programmes offered in MIST are tailor made to the national standards of technical education.
