Mannan Institute of Science and Technology, situated in Chevella, is a well known institution in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. Set with an aim of offering quality technical learning, the institute has, over the years, developed into a highly recognised institution in the area of engineering. MIST has a large area of coverage with 26 acres of land which provides the necessary environment for learning. Of the students, the institute has enroled 474 in total and it continues strictly with a student-to-teacher ratio in order to give focused individual attention.

Those students who have taken certain well-known entrance tests are welcome to study at the institute, such as the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET), and Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET).
