Manovikas College of Special Education was set up in 2015 at Ujjain, MP, to provide special educators for imparting special education. Found in Jawahar Nagar, Nanakheda, Pin – 456 010, Ujjain M.P., India, this is a co-educational college offering a rare set of courses of students’ ability to assist those with disability. The college though emerging is in part has done a lot to support quality in this specific niche area of learning. The total number of students that are intaken for a course is 14 plus the faculty strength is 8, which implies that the students get adequate attention, and the entire learning atmosphere is individualized.

They are a Bachelors of Education in Special Education, Diploma in Education in Special Education and lastly, Diploma in Multiple Disabilities. In these programs the total approved intake is 85, 30 for B.Ed Special Education, 30 for D.Ed Multiple Disabilities and 25 for D.Ed Special Education. All courses are of two years duration, The duration has been arrived at to ensure that students receive intensive training.
Therefore the admission process at Manovikas College of Special Education differs based on the program of study. The admission policy of B.Ed Special Education is merit based and an interview conducted in the college. The D.Ed programs, therefore, differ in that the D.Ed Special Education programme and the D.Ed Multiple Disability programme are planned differently. The entry to these courses is through All India Online Aptitude Test (AIOAT) conducted by Rehabilitation council of India New Delhi. This national level test makes sure that all candidates coming from the different parts of the country have the same chance of taking up the specialized courses.
