Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College, Mesra, which began its journey in the year 2012, has been enlightening the path of Ranchi, Jharkhand, in teacher education. This co-educational institution, recognised by the Ranchi University, has established a particular place for itself in the sphere of the educational training. Being an NAAC accredited institution, approved by NCTE, Govt.of India, this college epitomises the vision for quality education. The college has over 337 students in its three courses hence providing the students with a concentrated education training to become tutors.

Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College campus at Mesra is suitable for academics and learning. Serving as one of the academic materials’ storehouses, the library contains various educative items such as one hundred educational CD’s, encyclopedia Britannica, amongst others and National Geographic Journals. It is a subscriber to two international journal and over twenty other periodicals so that students can be informed on the latest research knowledge in the area of specialisation. In support of the call for upgraded technology, the college has a well equipped ICT and ET Laboratory with a complement of sixteen personal computers provided with Internet connectivity, scanning and printing amenities. This strategy of integrating technology is further complimented by the free campus wide Wi-Fi to increase resource retrieval.

Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College has three full time courses each of which caters for some aspects of teacher education. The B.Ed and D.EL.Ed programmes has an admission capacity of hundred and the M.Ed programme has an admission capacity of 50. These courses take two years each and are aimed at preparing students for appropriate careers in teaching and educational leadership. The pragmatic educational approach is well embodied in the college by different laboratories such as the Language Lab used by students in mastering aspects of communication which is highly significant for teaching.
