Mansinhbhai Institute of Dairy and Food Technology, MIDFT, Mehsana, Gujarat, is an affiliated college established in the year 2011. With a campus area of 78 acres, MIDFT offers specialized education in Dairy and Food Technology to its students. At present, it has a total enrollment of 157 students and a faculty strength of 15 members. The courses available in this institute are 9 in number, across 3 degree levels, which target different aspects of Dairy Technology at B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. levels.

These are the infrastructure facilities available to support its academic programs at MIDFT and improve the student experience. The Institute has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. These hostels provide good living facilities to the students. The library is the core of knowledge with a vast collection of print journals and periodicals that help in teaching and research activities at the Institute. For extracurricular activities and events, MIDFT has an auditorium and sports facilities. The institute offers 9 courses in full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. B. Tech in Dairy Technology is the under-graduate flag ship program with sanctioned intake of 40 students. MIDFT also offers M. Tech in Dairy Technology, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, and Dairy Engineering. Those interested in advanced research can do their Ph.D. in Dairy Technology, Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, and Dairy Engineering from the institute.

MIDFT admits students based on merit, particularly so in the B.Tech Dairy Technology program. In the case of this course, the institute prepares a merit list with 60% weight-age to marks obtained in the Theory Papers in PCB/PCM subjects and 40% to the marks obtained in GUJCET/JEE or any entrance test decided by the State Government. GUJCET is the main entrance examination accepted by the institute at the under-graduation level.
