The Mar Baselios College of Nursing (MBCN), Ernakulam, is one of the first institutions for nursing education and has been in operation. M.Sc. Nursing: Mar Baselios College of Nursing likewise offers postgraduate nursing education. The intending candidates for the M.Sc. Nursing course should have completed B.Sc. Nursing with not less than 55% marks. Admission may be granted in the merit category with regard to performance in the bachelor's program and the score from a relevant entrance examination.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing: This program is for registered nurses wishing to upgrade their credentials. Candidates should have completed a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and possess a valid nursing registration certificate.
