Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy came into existent in 2004, and is a reputed institute situated at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The University of Kerala affiliated co-educational college is located in Kattakada and it offers post graduation in pharmaceutical sciences. PCI approved college ensures that the college pays its obligations in offering quality education in the field. Located on 10 acres of land, it lays down a quality environment for teaching and learning. Being a co-educational institution the college currently has 265 students, and 25 faculty members resulting to a perfect ratio of student –faculty that enable learning institutions to guarantee personalised attention and coaching to their learners.

Mar Dioscorus College has equip itself with so many facets that are modern enough to support academic pursuit. A part of the infrastructure of the institution we have a library containing many books and offering free access to internet to the students for their own tracing and studying. The college’s 18 laboratories comprise a central instrumentation facility and computer lab to which the students are exposed to fully equipped instrumental amenities including HPLC, UV-visible spectrophotometer, and tablet coating machines. To cater students’ needs comfortably, the college offers different hostel accommodations for boys and girl, respectively and accompanied with professional staff. College canteen is used for providing different foods and meal to the student and staff of the college and the college auditorium is used for organising different programmes and seminars. A sick room with at least a few bed essentials assures health issues receive attention during college hours with medical facilities available.

In its current offer, the Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy provides its student with a total of three courses for full-time study in the pharmaceutical sciences. These are a 2 year course in D.Pharma, a 4 year course in B.Pharma and a 2 year M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics.

Admission to this course may depend on the performance of the candidate in the concerned entrance examination and the results of the 10+2 examination concerning subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: The institution provides a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics, which is usually a 2-year program with an intake of 15 students. Admission into this program generally requires prior attainment of B.Pharma from a recognized university with selection usually based on the combined performance in entrance examinations, and of previous academic performance.

D.Pharma: The Diploma in Pharmacy has a duration of two years, and an approved intake of 60 students requires minimum qualification of 10+2. This program is designed for students who want to pursue pharmacy after completing their 10+2 education.
