Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) was started in 2002 in Ayur, Kollam, Kerala, and it offers courses in Information Technology. This affiliated college is recognised by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE). MIIT provides two master’s degree programmes which in total have 120 vacancies. The institute boasts a faculty strength of 14 members and maintains a diverse student body with a gender ratio of 1:2.16 (male to female). MIIT offers postgraduate courses in Information Technology and Management with full time Masters programmes in MCA and MBA.
The institute have facilities to support the learning exercise for the benefit of its learner. It have computer laboratories complete with Core I3 and Core 2 Duo computers all connected in a network and are both running on dual booting Client Server environment. In terms of its physical education programme, MIIT offers its students basketball court, cricket ground, shuttle badminton court, volleyball ground and gym.
MIIT offers two full-time postgraduate courses that are Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). Both programmes are approved for intakes of 60 students each, and overall in all the courses offered there are 120 seats available.
The notable point about MIIT is that admissions are done differently depending to the programme in question. In the case of MCA programme, 50% of the seats are reserved for State Merit Quota which is depending upon the rank of the entrance exam.

Mar Thoma Institute of Information Technology (MIIT), Ayur, The admission process in MIIT aims to assess and accept able candidates into its post-graduate programs in Information Technology and Management. The common entrance examination scores accepted for admission into MIIT include the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT); the Common Admission Test (CAT); the Kerala Management Admission Test (KMAT Kerala); and the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). The above entrance exams assume great importance with respect to the selection process in various programs conducted by MIIT.
MIIT carries out a kind of unique admission system regarding its programs. In the case of the MCA program, 50% of the seats are undertaken by the State Merit Quota. Candidates under this quota are allotted seats on the basis of the rank attained in the entrance examination from amongst those who have applied for the merit quota. Basically, the whole process with respect to the admission cycle corresponds to the coming academic-session, which commences probably around August-September.

Degree-wise Admission Process
MCA (Masters in Computer Applications): An approved intake of 60 students applies to the MCA program at MIIT. Admission to the MCA program is primarily based on the entrance examination rank. As stated before, 50% of the seats are allocated through the State Merit Quota, which takes into consideration the rank attained in the relevant entrance examination. Thereafter, the candidates who have applied for the merit quota are considered for these seats on the given performance in the entrance examination.
MBA (Masters of Business Administration): The MBA program at MIIT has been approved for admission of 60 students. The procedure for admission into MBA is more evolved and consists of a multi-stage process. A candidate must have a valid score in one of the accepted entrance tests, namely KMAT, CMAT, or CAT. Besides the entrance test, it is mandatory for the candidate to take part in a Group Discussion and an Interview session. Final selection is made based on assessment of all these components.

College infrastructure , It mainly refers to physical facilities and other services provided by college to support students learning and living needs. When it comes to our college the infrastructure is good. Good in the sense while comparing the fees structure with other college for MBA program , our college is little bit upper hand by providing the course at leastcost. So that the according to the fees, the infrastructure is pretty okay. College have decent classroom and Library. Moreover the college provide free wifi also for the education purpose. When it comes to living space , the college provide decent spacing.
