Established in 1995, Mar Thoma Teachers Training College, Ranny, is a women's educational institute. This co-educational college is situated in Edakulam, Ranny, Pathanamthitta, Kerala This college is an affiliated college according to NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). Under the faculty of education, the college provides a course in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) for analysing skilled educators of the future. The college has a faculty of 10 qualified professionals with and this college aims to provide quality education in a professional environment.

Mar Thoma Teachers Training College has a number of features some of which are furbished to give a plus to the learning environment of students. An intensity language learning laboratory with a teacher’s control room and separate booths provides classical Language Lab. The college also has an auditorium to conduct programmes, seminars and workshops, hostel facilities for boys and girls and sufficient parking space.

Mar Thoma Teachers Training College offers one primary course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programe. This is a two-year full course whose main intention is to produce professional competent teachers with modern day teaching skills. At present, the college has an approval to take 50 students for this programme to increase the chances of quality production. This concentration on producing B.Ed has the advantage of allowing the institution to devote its efforts and abilities to achieving this aim.

Mar Thoma Teachers Training College admission process are merit base, in addition to ranking achieved in the qualifying mark in the examination/entrance examination.
