MARG Institute of Design and Architecture, Kanchipuram (MIDAS) is a well-known institute with quality architecture education. The institute is recognized by the Council of Architecture and has a very strict admission process to choose meritorious students for its architecture courses. MIDAS provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in architecture with a total capacity of 140 students in all its courses.

Admissions in MIDAS are focused on finding and admitting those applicants who have the potential to succeed as architecture students. In undergraduate admissions, applicants who have emerged victorious at national level examinations like Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) are sought out by the institute. Application Process

Application procedure for MIDAS is different according to the program:

For B.Arch program:

1. Take JEE Main and NATA exams.

3. Fill the online application form with authentic personal and academic information.
4. Upload necessary documents, such as 10+2 mark sheets, JEE Main and NATA scorecards, and other supporting certificates.

For M.Arch program:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Arch: The total intake of MIDAS's B.Arch course is 120 students. Admission to this five-year undergraduate course is on the basis of the performance of the candidate in JEE Main and NATA. The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects. The admissions process is made to select candidates who possess good analytical and creative skills that are required to study architecture.

M.Arch: MIDAS provides a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program with an intake of 20 students. Two-year postgraduate programs have admissions based on marks obtained in entrance examinations of GATE, TANCET, or Consortium Entrance Test, as per the norms of Anna University and Council of Architecture. The M.Arch candidate should possess a B.Arch or equivalent degree from any reputed institution.
