Markaz College of Arts and Science, Karanthur, providing a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Based in Kozhikode, Kerala, The admission process at Markaz College of Arts and Science is made as easy and accessible as possible for prospective students.  Eligibility criteria vary according to the program for admission. For undergraduate programs, students who are 10+2 from a recognized board are eligible to apply. For postgraduate programs, the student must have completed a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. The college has seven courses in total, of which five are undergraduate and two postgraduate programs. All courses are full-time and regular.

Application Process

1. Announcement of Admissions: The college has begun publication of admissions into various programs via its official website as well as through other local media.

2. Application Form: Prospective students may now acquire the application form from the college office or download it from the related website.

3. Filling the Application: Candidates' personal and academic details must fit into the application form. All information stated should be verified and in agreement with the supporting documents.

4. Document Submission: Along with the completed application form, candidates need to submit the following necessary documents:

• 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate (if applicable)
• Caste Certificate (if applying under any reservation category)
• Recent passport-size photographs

5. Submission of Application: Applications must be completed and returned to the college office before the deadline, together with all required documentation.

6. Merit list will be prepared: The college prepares a merit list based on the academic performance of the applicants in their qualifying examinations.

7. Official confirmation of admission: Candidates notified are meant to go through the steps of securing their spots through payment of requisite fees and supplying originals of documents for verification.

8. Orientation: Admitted students are usually required to attend an orientation program to familiarize themselves with the college rules, facilities, and academic expectations.

Admission Process for Degree wise

B.Com Computer Application Hons: The approved intake for this program is 60 students. Merit is the basis of admission depending upon the qualifying examination of the candidate, wherein higher weights are assigned to subjects in Commerce and Mathematics.

BBA Hons: This program has approximately 50 seats with candid admission based on academic history in the 10+2 examination criteria with higher preference for candidates switching from Commerce or Science.

B.Sc Chemistry Hons: The intake for students to this program is 48. Among the requirements for admission is that candidates must have taken Chemistry during their 10+2 studies. Selection is based on the qualification exam score but mainly in regards to Science subjects.

BA English Language and Literature Hons in Arts: This program has a total of 40 seats, and admission will, therefore, be granted based on performance in the 10+2 examinations while on the subject considered in English.

B.Sc Psychology Hons: The introductory units admit 36 students into this program. Students must have studied Psychology and/or similar disciplines in their 10+2. Academic merit decides selection.

M.Com Finance: This is a postgraduate course with a capacity of 15 students. Admission will be given to a candidate who has completed their B.Com or equivalent degree, with the possibility that their previous academic progress would be considered.

M.Sc Psychology: With only 10 seats available, this program will require students to hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology or any related field. The admission consideration will likely include candidate undergraduate academic records. It may also require entrance or interview processes.
