Karanthur based Markaz College of Arts and Science, Kozhikode, Kerala came into existence in the year 2008 is an affiliated college. The institute is currently delivering a number of undergraduate and post graduate programmes spans in different fields. The college occupies a 10 acre land; total enrolment in the college is 597, significantly a gender split of 830 female and 170 male students. The institute has faculty of strength 29 members and it offers courses in 7 subjects of 6 degree programmes in stream English, Chemistry, Commerce, Business Administration, Psychology etc.

There are many services offered by Markaz College of Arts and Science to improve the student experience. On the campus are hostels for both boys and girls, adequately furnished with quality bedding and amenities, healthy diet is provided.
