Mata Basanti Devi College of Biosciences and Biotechnology, Agra: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Mata Basanti Devi College of Biosciences and Biotechnology is a women college in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, founded in 2004 located in Shastri Puram. The college is situated on a 3 acres of land and offers three UG programs in Biotechnology, Business Administration and Computer Applications. Despite the fact that the institute offers a total of 130 students and faculty strength of 10 students helps in focusing on more students directly. College exclusively admits female students and to mark its support for women education in Biosciences Biotechnology and Management.

This college has numerous amenities which are intended to improve the learning process of the college learners. The campus features well-enabled laboratories and so students get practical experience in the faculties such as; biotechnology and computer faculties. An academic library resource center provides materials to facilitate all forms of academic work. The college’s IT enables student access of modern technologies to enhance learning. Extra curriculum activities offered in the institute include; sporting facilities and an ample hall for occasions such as events and seminars. A cafeteria is also provided for preparation of meals for students and members of staff. Unlike many institutions of higher learning, the college has a girls’ hostel facility which provides convenient accommodation for students from other regions. 

Mata Basanti Devi College of Biosciences and Biotechnology offers three full-time undergraduate programs: We offer B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology, BBA the Bachelor of Business Administration and BCA the Bachelor of Computer Applications. The duration for each program is three years. These specific disciplines are reflected in the college as an effort to equip students to meet the market demands in the areas of biotechnology, management and knowledge based technology. Here the total student intake for the different courses is not quantified with reference to number of seats per program though the total number of students programmed to be admitted across all courses is one hundred and thirty. 

Majority of the Mata Basanti Devi College of Biosciences and Biotechnology admit students through an interview. Students who are interested in to make carrier in B.Sc Biotechnology they are selected by conducting an interview test or through an entrance examination based on their aptitude of the subjects. Likewise, admissions to the BBA and BCA programs are made on the basis of interview, under which the college assesses the students suitability to the professional courses.
