Mata Bhagyamani Devi Mahila Degree College was set up in 2010 as a women’s college affiliated to the Maharashtra University in Ghazipur of Uttar Pradesh. This college to empower women through education is located at Saheri, Ghazipur-250221. It has earned a reputation of delivering quality education on the fact that it has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE. Currently, the college has students’ enrolment of 169 and faculty of 7, which offers college a concentrated setting of learning consequently. At the moment, the institution offers only one programme of study, which shows that it is specifically designed for producing teachers.

Mata Bhagyamani Devi Mahila Degree College resource infrastructure comprises various installations intended to supplement learning institutions and the experiences of the learners. From this perspective the library plays an important role of stock-up of high level books across the various subject belonging to the Faculty of Arts. It also opens up a source of daily newspapers, magazines and periodicals to help create a culture of reading. Practical lab facilities and resources are available in the college and produce practical experiences and essentials for the students in their preferred course stream. Among the sports lovers and physical fitness built the institution provides several amenities for many games like football, volleyball, hockey, badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, cricket, and basketball. The availability of a gymnasium together with professional teachers in physical education helps compound this aspect. 

At present Mata Bhagyamani Devi Mahila Degree College teaches just one course and that is D. El. Ed., the Diploma in Elementary Education programme. This is a 2-year full-time course meant to produce instructors ready to teach in the lower/basic grade level. The college has set the intake for this programme to 50 students to ensure that the college upholds the ratio of the student to the teacher to ensure quality delivery of programmes. Being able to align both its resources and personnel with the goal of creating a highly effective teacher training programme is a strength of the institution. 

The University and state government conducts a Common Entrance Test or merit criteria for admission into the D.El.Ed programme at Mata Bhagyamani Devi Mahila Degree College. This arises to see that deserving persons are given the chance to realise their teaching dreams.
