At present there is not any way that you can rearrange your locked choices.More over couselling of first round also happened. This was the final list .You will be alloted seats accordig to that list only.Due to this reason they give almost ten days to make the list. And they also announce results of two mock rounds .Now there is only one way that you can avoid your undesired choices, choosing the right option among float ,slide and freeze.thank you!!
After the completion of the seven rounds of JOSAA counselling you will be required to go to the college in which you have been alloted a seat at the end of the seven rounds or which you have frozen. The guidelines of admission and the corresponding documents required are different in each college. For more information you should visit the official website of NIT Surathkal. Hope this helps.
hey godvin,
NO, you don’t have to visit the reporting center daily. Only on the day when you are alloted a seat.
Students alloted a seat by JoSAA have to follow certain rules and carry some important documents. The two most important things to keep in mind are: pay the seat acceptance fee through SBI Net Banking, or e-Challan, and visit a Reporting Centre (RC) with the required documents.
The seat acceptance fee for General category students is Rs 45,000, and for other category students is Rs 20,000.
Candidates have to report at any of the designated Reporting Centres to acknowledge the allocated seat. If they fail to do so, JoSAA will not consider them in subsequent seat allotment rounds.
all the best!

Hello,
If you are wishing to apply for the Josaa spot round, then i want to tell you that JOSAA spot round is conducted at the last, when all the counselling rounds of Josaa are completed.
And i want to suggest you that you shouldn't just wait for the spot round ,but if you are unable to get a seat during the counselling rounds then you should be trying anywhere else also,a strong backup is needed in this type of case.
Because,we are uncertain about the availability of any seat in the Josaa spot round,in case you get a seat in the spot round, and you are not satisfied with that college and branch, then what will you do?
So,in between you try searching for different colleges that come under the domain of your rank and percentile.
So,coming to your answer, for applying in the spot round of Josaa counselling, you must have patience to wait till the end and then you can fill the application form available at that time with the necessary details.
ThankYou!
Hope this helps!
If any queries, feel free to ask!
Regards!

Dear Student,
The counselling of JoSAA is conducted for all qualified candidates to provide admissions into IITs, IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs as per their individual eligibility. You can check the complete process of JoSAA counselling in the following link of Careers 360: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-counselling and you can prepare for the counselling by knowing about the frequently asked questions in the following link of Careers 360 : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-faqs.
I hope this helps!
First of all if you are unwilling to go out of Kanpur for higher studies then either you should have not participated in JOSAA counselling or should have scored enough to get admission in IIT Kanpur.
I mean if you have already made up your mind then there is no point in telling you merits and demerits of some college but HBTU is way better than IIIT Ranchi which runs from temporary campus in NIT Jamshedpur. But consider some NIT if you get it as most NITs are better than HBTU.
Hello Nilesh,
Assuming you are a candidate of GENERAL category and not from any reserved category, getting college like NIT, IIIT or even GFTIs seems improbable at this point in time.
However, you can wait if any spot round takes place, so that you might get something. All the best
Hello aspirant!!
There is no physical checking of pwds in jnu during counselling actually you have to submit the pwd certificate from any government hospital for the same.
And same will have to be provided at reporting centre.
Hope it helps!!
