Mathrusree Degree and PG College, Nalgonda, was started in 2005 lies in Choutuppal, Telangana is affiliated college. This is a mixed academic institution with many degree courses for both boys and girls at the undergraduate level and postgraduate level in various fields of study. Having a campus area of 4 acres, the college has total number of 519 students and total number of faculty members with 12. Mathrusree Degree and PG College offers 10 courses under three degree courses in Commerce, Science along with Management stream. 

Mathrusree Degree and PG College has infrastructural facilities with a view of improving the learning facilities for its students. The library contains updated editions of reference books as well as textbooks, government gazettes, and new and old newspapers, and periodicals to allow the students to update themselves with current affairs. IT facilites are remarkable, internet facilities and computer laboratories with modern teaching amenities involving LCD projectors and scanners. It also has a large music hall for such occasions as meetings, seminars and other events. A good cafeteria provides hygienically prepared balanced diet to both day scholars and Hostel students. There are sports facilities to make sure that the students balance between extra academic activities and sport activities. The approved student intake for all the courses is 519 and this shows the capacity of the college to take many students who have passion in the courses offered . 

Mathrusree Degree and PG College has set admission with simplified process to overcome complicated methods other educational institutions employ. Most of the affiliated colleges follow the admission procedures of the main parent university. A candidate for admission to the undergraduate programmes must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board, university or other recognised examining body for undergraduate programmes. For postgraduate courses may require the bachelor degree in the relevant subjects. All the classes are instructed in both English and Telugu to accommodate students from different background. The college offers unique programmes like B.Com Computers and B.Sc with combinations in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and Computer Science.
