Mayaram Mahavidyalaya, Singrauli, started in 2005, is an affiliated college situated at Medhauli, Morwa, Singrauli District, Madhya Pradesh. The institute presently has 25 courses spread across 10 programmes to suit a stream and course interest of the student. Accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) & Bar Council of India (BCI) the college lays emphasis on quality education. The college has a total enrolment of 1,090 students, and has 15 members in the faculty making it a great place for all students. At present, the college is committed to providing general higher education and it provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Mayaram Mahavidyalaya offers the following facilities to improve their experiences of the students. The sports department has football, cricket, and bolivar teams have won in competition. Inter-collegiate championship has been won successfully by the college for quite a number of years in succession. Indoor sports people can access sports facilities in the students Common Room all these facilities can be found in this area. The Mayaram Memorial Hall is also a cultural and an education centre and has been fitted with high standard sound and lighting equipment. Over 50,000 books, newspapers and magazines can be found in the college library that has comfortable reading areas for all students. Since the college intends to make education easily accessible, it provides means of transport for both patrons, the students and staff.

Mayaram Mahavidyalaya confers a total of 25 courses which include unde graduate regular course, postgraduate regular courses. Some of the main programmes that are been offered include BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, M.Sc in any of the following; Computer Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Botany, Physics, Mathematics, Economics M.Com with different specialisation, MSW, B.Ed and LLB. The B.Ed programme, the flagship course of the institute, has an approved student intake capacity of fifty. Tthe college’s total enrolment is equal to the intake capacity of 1,090 students, which testifies to the college’s capacity utilisation.

The admission procedure of Mayaram Mahavidyalaya is different for different courses offered in the college. For those courses like BA, B.Sc, B.Com which are undergraduate programmes the students are admitted based on their performance in their secondary school results with specific reference to class 12th results. Certain science programmes depending on the college or university may also include entrance tests as BHU UET, NEST, NMIMS-NPAT. In relevant professional programmes like BCA and BBA, the admission may be conducted through IPU-CET/SET or merit list declared by college. For postgraduate programmes, candidates are usually called to write university entrance examinations and sometimes their results at the university level are taken into consideration although emphasis is laid on their performance at the graduation level. The B.Ed programme, as prescribe by the university, holds a dual admission system based on merit and entrance examination. Relative to other LLB programmes, the extent of non-entrance examination-based standard used to admit students remains limited.
