Measi Institute of Management, Royapettah (MIM) is one of the most renowned institute in Tamilnadu established in the year of 1987 in Chennai. It is an affiliated college approved by AICTE that provides the management programmes in its 12 acre facility. Currently, MIM has 291 students in total, out of which 74% of them are male, and 26% are female. As a learning institution, the institute provides its students with 8 courses under two degree programmes in business administration. MIM has 19 full-time faculty members, which allows maintaining appropriate student to faculty ratio as well as providing quality education for clients.

Measi Institute of Management offers all round amenities and infrastructures needed to enhance students’ study and overall living. MIM’s academic pillar, the library, holds over 19,000 books based on management subjects and provides DELNET and National Digital Library access to national and international journals. The following facilities are well provided on campus: the classes includes LCD projectors, audio-visual equipment and air-conditioning. In matters concerning infrastructure and facilitation, MIM provides state of the art laboratories essential in practical exercises and research by the budding researchers. The institute also has social amenities that address students’ needs; this includes a sports facility, a cafeteria and a health center with a first aid facility. As for student housing, opportunities for male and female students are equal, so, students will be comfortable in hostels throughout their study period.

Currently, MIM provides students with a total of 10 courses: full-time, part-time, and conducting research. The flagship MBA programme has an intake of 120 students, and in addition to this the following Ph.D. programmes in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management are offered in Full Time and Part Time Intake. In the past year, a total of 291 students were in the university undertaking one programme or the other, all of whom were at postgraduate level. The institute also cares about diversity with 97% students from the state and 3% from other states/in India.

The admission process of MIM is based on the principles of choosing the best performers among students. For MBA programme, the institute has a stringent admission procedure and offer a Admission test along with consistent academic performance check, a group discussion. This test aims at determining the proficiency of a candidate in English language, intelligence, general assessing aptitude and their problem solving skills. The process ends at a panel interview where students are interviewed by panelists drawn from academia, industry and other alumni. The process of admission for Ph.D. programmes involve merit, this means that the candidate should submit their postgraduate results, written test, interview with the institution. All admissions are decided by the University of Madras. Scholarships are available at MIM, according to data from 2022, 24 postgraduate students are given financial reimbursement. This financial support shows that MIM is willing to sponsor student that deserves a quality education fee without turning away due to financial difficulties.
