Meenakshi Chandrasekaran College of Arts and Science for Women, founded in the year of 1998, is affiliated college established in Pattukkottai, Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu State. Located on an extensive land of over 15 acres, the institution has been able to offer a number of 21 courses under its 12 degree programmes. total number of students enrolled is 1443 and the total faculty is 87; thus, there is good number of students per teacher. A further proof of the institution’s bar raised offering quality education and courses offered cut across different fields such as arts, science, commerce and education, among others.

It also has several up-to-date facilities in the college, which can improve the college learning experience of the students. A modern, equipped library is as an information resource centre; apart from a large collection of books, it contains up-to-date journals to facilitate academic discoveries. Also within the compound for the campus is an auditorium that acts as a hall for event and seminars and also as a theatre, sporting facilities for physical exercise, and a cafeteria for food and beverages.

The courses offered in Meenakshi Chandrasekaran College of Arts and Science include a basin of subjects that will suit any student’s academic goals. The institution offers 21 on-site full-time programmes of study at the undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as doctoral level. These include BA Tamil Literature and English, B.Com BBA, B.Sc. Computer Science, Mathematics Physics, Chemistry, and Microbiology. The programmes offered at the postgraduate level are MBA, MA in English, M.Com., M.Sc Mathematics, Computer Science & Microbiology. For the students interested in carrying out research work, M.Phil. programmes are offered in Commerce, Computer science and Microbiology and a Doctoral programme in Commerce. Further, the college provides a B.Ed. programme for anyone interested in teaching.
