Meerut Institute of Special Education, Meerut (MISE) is a relatively young university where education started in 2016. Being an affiliated college this institution is located in Ganga Nagar Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and aims to offer specialised education. The institute is placed in a compact area and has an area size of 0.2471 acres securing a compact campus for the students. MISE at present is a small institute having 11 students under its roof and has 4 working hard teachers.

Meerut Institute of Special Education is equipped with a good library and the capacity seating that would ensure that the students had a comfortable area to carry out their studies. For those who like physical activities there is an option for several sports that all students have a possibility to reach a balance between work and sport. The college also has an auditorium that is used in conducting different events, seminars hence enhancing the life within the college. For the purpose of practical assessment, MISE has organised departmental workshops that afford students the practical experience real to their disciplines. From time to time, the institute is well equipped with modern educational needs through its sound IT facilities and 24/7 campus Wi-Fi for students and staffs. Recuperation is of utmost importance seen through the provisions of a health centre through provision of first assistant facilities. The college also has social quality amenities where the learner can unwind and interact with other learners, staff or colleagues, and these are the canteen services for staff and learners. In terms of academic focus MISE targets teacher education programmes. 

The institute currently provides two courses: a Bachelors degree in Education B.Ed and a Diploma in Education D.Ed. The B.Ed programme has intake capacity as 30 and D.Ed programme has intake capacity of 35 students for every year of the academic schedule. The programme to be pursued is of two-year duration for both programmes thereby making it a comprehensive pre-practice for would be teachers.

MISE need admission's procedures since it only grants students admission only on merit. For B.Ed programme, the admission processes are followed strictly in the merit of the programmes. The same way, the D. Ed programme also follows a direct merit admission procedure as well.
